I started training and showing dogs in 4H when I was 11 yrs old. My first dog, a Black Lab was County and District Champion for several years in obedience and showmanship classes. I also showed him at AKC dog shows earning his CD.
My next dog was a Miniature Schnauzer. I did the grooming myself learning how to properly strip the coat to win many classes in Showmanship .
It wasn't until I went off to college that I fell in love with the Australian Shepherds.
My Major lived and traveled with me and my horses to NBHA shows and rodeos.
He was a beautiful blue merle. Lillian, one of Amy's girls, is from the same breeder that raised Major. She is smaller than Major was, but still has that great conformation that he had.

Craig and I are married and have two young sons, Baily 11 and Casey 8. We live on a farm in Northwest Iowa. Craig works for a feedlot a few miles north of us and I farm with my father and feed cattle with him at his feedlot. In addition to farming I raise barrel racing horses check out
I was recently appointed Advisor on the Woodbury County, FSA Comittee. I also do the accounts receivable for a local hay grinding business. I am always on the run.
Craig raises 4H show pigs. He has had many successes in the show ring lately. His stock he has been working on since he was in FFA and 4H.
